Brief History about Ring of Romance
The ORIGINAL Ring of Romance, a largest group of sites related to the world of romance, was established at Webring.Org sometime prior to 31 DEC 1996.  Jon Sternoff and Jenny Richard were the original Co-Managers of this Ring for a few years until Yahoo/Webring (Y!WR) merger was launched on 05 SEPT 2000.  A few months prior to the Y!WR merger, the Ring had over 400 romantic-related sites.  When Yahoo took over the Webring.Org, the Ring had 250+ sites under its previous ringmaster.  This Ring was abandoned for about 6 months before I took over this ring as its new RingMaster and Owner on 10 MAR 2001.  It was once hosted by RingSurf for little more than a year, but it didn't work out.  So, on 21 JUL 2002, it was transferred to Webring to get more traffic on the Net.  At the same time, this Ring's title has been renamed as Original Ring of Romance because this Ring seems to be the oldest romantic webring.

To be eligible to join this Ring, your site or page must be related to romance through poetry, stories, novels, fan fiction, thoughts, family, details of your own romance, graphics, postcards, Valentine's Day celebration, or any other suitable form.

MOST IMPORTANT to Remember: If you have any questions or problems on the webring issues or are new to the Webring community, you are strongly urged to visit the Webring Users Guide and Webring FAQs websites.  Sorry, I, RingMaster, cannot help you on any of the webring problems, including navigation code, due to my time limitations.  Thank you for understanding.

IMPORTANT NOTES: As a RingMistress, I retain my FULL AUTHORITY to determine whether any site is approved, denied, suspended, or deleted upon based this ring.  If any site in Ring or Queue/Pending does not comply with any of the guidelines above, it will promptly be removed or suspended at the sole discretion of the RingMistress.  I reserve to edit any member site's URL where the navigation/HTML code is placed on.

WARNING NOTICE on 01 FEB 2007: There is a new issue that has been brought to my attention concerning "One-Way Site" problems.  You ask, what does “One-Way Site” mean?  It means that one of the Webring.Com staff manually dares to review a member site and determines the member site as the “One Way” site.  “One-Way Site” is obviously FAILed, although your navigation code script on your registered page is correct and should be passed.  Unfortunately, as a result of the “One Way” installation, your site is ONCE taken traffic away from ALL rings you belong to AND will NEVER bring traffic back to the rings.  “One-Way Site” issue is one of the Webring.Com’s override privileges that NO RingMaster (including myself) can assist any member with this problem.  Since I (RingMaster) have no control of any "One-Way Site" issues, any "One-Way" site in this Ring is subject to be suspended from the Ring at anytime.  Sorry, but I have no other choice about this horrible problem.  Please click here for further information about the “One-Way Site” term.
